Marcin Filip Cybulski born in Poland Katowice in 1976, in London since 2006.
Marcin originally was trained as a stained glass and glass maker for over 17 years, working as a studio assistant to artists such as Tomasz Tuszko and later Danny Lane, to finally in 2011 making his own choice of becoming an independent artist and study. After finishing a three year degree in Fine Art, he made the decision to continue studying doing an MA in Printmaking at Middlesex University, which he passed in 2017. He then set up his own studio in 2018 in Willesden Green, London.
My Medium
Printmaking is a first choice as a medium , however Marcin is rather Fine Art artist then typical printmaker '' ...it always starts with printmaking as a form of expression however I hate when people call me printmaker, printmaking to me is too close to craft ..I do get bored with craft and I feel really limited .. as a medium printmaking is really powerful tool, but is up to you how you will use it and avoid limitations and barriers related to craft...''
